Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress who is best known for the films Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. In the 1980s when she started her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab which she played with the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir as part of Dil. As a child, the Mumbai-born dancer began developing her skills at a young age. As a teenager, she began acting and suffered for several years due to the fact that her early films failed. Then she found her way to success and became one of the top actresses within the Indian film business. After her marriage, she took a pause from her acting career. She returned later. More recently she played an integral role in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women across India. Dixit was nominated 15 times in the Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of these. Dixit was also awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. She is known for her social works as well.
