Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop and flamenco singer. Involved in the margins of both traditional and popular music since her teens she also delves into other music genres like Hip-Hop Soul and Trap. Flamenco guitarist Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as sweet and sharp, however she still having the grit of more mature singers. El Mal Querer was her significant commercial breakthrough and critical success in 2018. Following the release of Los Angeles garnered her attention and earned her a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist, it topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums and she was awarded an Grammy. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami, her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The release came in the month of March 2022, following an appearance of the single Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish solo artist to perform on the show on Saturday Night Live. Motomami, Rosalia's album that won three Latin Grammy Awards also made her the first female to have an award for Latin Album of the Year award twice.
